After a spirited community vote, the results are in! Out of 16 student votes cast, 11 chose the name Hallowyn for our beloved Witches’ Hallow familiar.
The name Hallowyn is rooted in the word hallow, meaning sacred, honored, or deeply revered. It reflects the heart of Witches’ Hallow itself—a place where learning is treated as a sacred craft and every student walks a path of intentional magick and discovery. The “-wyn” ending carries an old-world, folkloric softness, often associated with enchantment, spirit, and subtle mystery, making it a fitting name for a companion who moves between shadow and wisdom with quiet grace.
As a black cat familiar, Hallowyn embodies intuition, observation, and the unseen threads that connect knowledge and instinct. She is a living symbol of curiosity and quiet protection within our school—watching, wandering, and reminding us that wisdom often arrives softly, on silent paws.
Hallowyn will now serve as the official familiar of Witches’ Hallow, gracing our social media with her presence. She will appear in seasonal posts, announcements, student celebrations, and moments of reflection—sometimes as a watchful guide, other times as a mischievous observer of our magickal community.
Please join us in welcoming her.
🐈⬛🌿 Welcome, Hallowyn. May your presence remind us that even in stillness, magick is always listening. 🌿🐈⬛
